THE MALAYSIA'S MAGNIFICENT MOSQUE

PUTRA MOSQUE, PUTRAJAYA

The Putra Mosque, is the principal mosque of Putrajaya. Construction of the mosque began in 1997 and was completed two years later. it is located next to Perdana Putra which houses the Malaysian Prime Minister's office.



CRYSTAL MOSQUE, TERENGGANU

The mosque is located at Islamic Herritage Park on the island of Wan Man. The mosque was constructed between 2006 and 2008. It was officially opened on 8 Feb 2008.


KOTA KINABALU CITY MOSQUE, SABAH

The Kota Kinabalu City Mosque is the main mosque in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, after the state Mosque. It is exemplary of the Islamic contemporary architecture. This majestic white mosque boasts similar features to the Nabawi Mosque in Madinah.


UBUDIAH MOSQUE, PERAK

Built in 1917, the architecture of the Ubudiah Mosque is the Indo-Saracenic style. Ranking high on the list of Malaysia's most beautiful mosques, the Ubudiah Mosque stands proudly and majestically in Kuala Kangsar, with its golden dome and minarets creating a spellbinding sight, from near and afar.


SULTAN AHMAD SHAH STATE MOSQUE, PAHANG

Sultan Ahmad Shah State Mosque is Pahang's state mosque. Built in 1991 with blue and white decoration, the mosque has marble interior and blue and yellow stained glass windows.


BEIJING MOSQUE, KELANTAN

The mosque, known locally as the Beijing Mosque, has a unique design that combines Chinese and Islamic architecture similar to the more than 1000 year old Niujue mosque in Beijing. Indian and Uzbek features are also incorporated in the interiors. The main complex consists of a two-storey building.


SULTAN ABU BAKAR, JOHOR

Its appearence of the colonial English Victorian architecture is noted by the minarets that take the form of the british 19th century clock towers. The architecture of the mosque additionally includes some Moorish architecture elements, along with some minor Malay influence.


AL-BUKHARY MOSQUE, KEDAH

The magnificient mosque was built by the Al-Bukhary Foundation as being part of the Al-bukhary Complex, which comprises of the Souq Al-Bukhary Trade Center, a Medical Centre, a Community Centre, a home of the children orphans, a senior citizen academy and the Al-Bukhary University.


MALACCA STRAITS MOSQUE, MALACCA

The Malacca Straits Mosque also known as 'Masjid Selat' is a mosque located on the man-made Malacca Island near Malacca Town. It looks like a folating structure if the water level is high.
