(ENGLISH PART)

BEST ATTRACTION IN JAKARTA, INDONESIA
TEMPAT MENARIK SEKITAR JAKARTA, INDONESIA

NATIONAL MONUMENT

Is a 433 ft (132 metre) tower in the centre of Merdeka Square, Central Jakarta, symbolizing the fight for indonesia. It is topped by a flame covered with gold foil. The monument and the museum is open daily from 08.00 - 15.00 Western Indonesia Time (UTC+7), everyday throughout the week, except for the last Monday of each month, when the monument is closed.

TAMAN MINI INDONESIA INDAH

"Beautiful Indonesia Miniature Park" (literally translated) is a culture-based recreational area located in East Jakarta, Indonesia. The park is a synopsis of Indonesian culture, with virtually all aspects of daily life in Indonesia's 26 (in 1975) provinces encapsulated in separate pavilions with the collections of Indonesian architecture, clothing, dances and traditions are all depicted impeccably.

PUPPET MUSEUM

Featuring one of the best collections of wayang puppets in Java, its dusty cabinets are lined with a multitude of characters once used for performances. The collection not only includes puppets from Indonesia but also from China, Malaysia, India and Cambodia.

NATIONAL MUSEUM

Situated in the old town of Batavia, the National Museum is probably one of the most poignant witnesses to Dutch colonisation in the city. Started by a group of Dutch collectors, the museum has various compellations; prehistoric artifacts, archeology, heraldics, historical relics, geography, ethnography, and ceramics. The museum displays more than 100,000 cultural objects.

RAGUNAN ZOO

Established in 1864, Jakarta's Ragunan Zoo is 16km south of the city centre in the Pasar Minggu area.  Home to some 4,000 animals, this large zoo has a good collection of Indonesian wildlife including Komodo dragons.

MARITIME MUSEUM

Completed in 1774, the design of the building itself justifies a visit. Inside, the structure is filled with insightful photographs and maritime relics and anyone with a hobby or career in sailing would appreciate the value of this collection. The front section of the building, is probably the only part of the Ancient City Wall surrounding Batavia (old Jakarta) still standing today.

ANCOL AMUSEMENT PARK

The centre of all things amusing in Jakarta, Ancol is home to an abundance of effervescent fun including water parks and Dunia Fantasy. The resort-like fun park has something for everyone, whether it's live entertainment or enjoying a romantic gondola experience.

MONAS PARK

Taman Monas (Monas Park) or Taman Medan Merdeka (Medan Merdeka Park) is a huge square where the symbol of Jakarta, Monas or Monumen Nasional (National Monument) is located. The enormous space was created by Dutch Governor General Herman Willem Daendels (1810) and was originally named Koningsplein (Kings Square).

MERDEKA PALACE

A palace in Central Jakarta, Indonesia, used as the official residence of the President of the Republic of Indonesia. The palace is located directly in front of Merdeka Square and The National Monument.

JAKARTA OLD TOWN

A small area in Jakarta, Indonesia. It is also known as Old Jakarta, and Old Batavia. The largely Chinese down town area of Glodok is a central part of Kota.
